Downtown Ocean Springs

Walkable · Shops & galleries · Historic homes

The heart of town along Government Street and Washington Avenue, under the live oaks. Locally owned shops, galleries, coffee and restaurants are a short walk from many homes, and the Walter Anderson Museum of Art and the city's big festivals happen here.

  • Homes: historic cottages, bungalows and Craftsman-style homes, plus some newer infill and townhomes
  • Lots tend to be smaller; many streets are walkable or golf-cart friendly
  • Check: flood zone varies street by street, and some older homes need updated wiring, roofs or foundations
